Bruce Park

A peaceful park in the heart of Downtown Scottsville, perfect for reading and conversation. 

  • Hours: Open during daylight hours
  • Location: At the corner of Harrison and West Main Streets.

Dorrier Park

Downtown park featuring a softball field, soccer field, 2 tennis courts, a wheelchair-accessible playground, and a picnic shelter with a seating capacity of 50, electricity (no grills), and restrooms. A walking path with its pleasant trail along the levee is part of the Virginia Birding and Wildlife Trail.

  • Hours: 7:00 a.m. to dark all year
  • Location: South Page Street in Scottsville

Levee Walk

See the James River from this walking path along the levee.

  • Hours: Open during daylight hours
  • Location: Enter from Harrison Street, behind Canal Basin Square, or from Ferry Street. Handicapped access off Bird Street, just past the Library.

Van Clief Nature Area and Scottsville Lake

The newest addition to Scottsville’s parks, the Van Clief Nature Area features 63 acres of walking trails and Scottsville Lake, regularly stocked with trout by Virginia’s Department of Wildlife resources.

Totier Creek Park

Three miles of trails around 209 acres with 4 picnic tables. Seasonal restrooms are available.

  • Hours: Parks are generally open for daylight hours all year.
  • Location: 9290 Totier Creek Road, Scottsville, VA 24590
