All Town of Scottsville, Virginia social media accounts encourage engagement with residents on town issues and other content that promotes the historic, cultural, natural and economic resources of the area approximately 15 miles surrounding Scottsville, called “Greater Scottsville.”

As you post, please be aware that Freedom of Information Act and e-discovery laws and policies apply.

We respect free speech here, so we reserve the right to takedown posts and comments containing any of the following forms of content:
a. Comments not topically related to the particular site or blog article being
commented upon;
b. Defamatory speech;
c. Profane language or content;
d. Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation;
e. Sexual content or links to sexual content;
f. Solicitations of commerce;
g. Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity;
h. Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems; or
i. Violations of a legal ownership interest of any other party.
j. Support of or opposition to political campaigns or ballot measures;
k. Anything that violates the terms of service of the host site;
