The
Levee Walk runs across the top of the levee, from the Ferry Street to
Bird Street. The Levee Walk can also be accessed from Dorrier
Park and Canal Basin
Square. Dorrier Park has tennis courts, a playgound, and soccer
and softball fields. |
| Area vineyards offer tours and wine tastings. The James River provides excellent boating and fishing, with an annual Fishing Jamboree. You can ride a bike to nearby Hatton Ferry, one of the last poled ferries in the country, or contact one of the local river outfitters and take a float trip back to town. |
