The scenic James River courses through the wooded foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is a wonderful place for canoeing and tubing.  It offers the best small mouth bass fishing on the east coast and the opportunity to see deer, Blue Herons, Ospreys, Bald Eagles, and other wildlife.
